Caring for William Carey: Praying for Recovery

Reaching out to our sister university in its time of need William Carey University was hit hard when a tornado touched down on January 21, 2017 at 4:00 a.m. This violent storm left in its wake three causalities and nearly 500 destroyed homes in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The WCU campus was impacted resulting in almost every building destroyed, but thankfully all students were evacuated without terminal repercussions. All William Carey students have been forced to find temporar

Christmas in China: BMC Mission Trip

Many people consider Christmas their favorite holiday. The decorations, presents, and all around good cheer really do make this season ‘the most wonderful time of the year’. In all the excitement, however, we often forget the true purpose of the celebration; the birth of our saviour, Jesus Christ. Last Christmas, six students from Blue Mountain College honored the true meaning of Christmas when they decided to spend the holiday spreading His word to the nations by participati

Students Make a Difference at Nursing Home

As Christians, we know how important it is to reach out to those who are lost, but what about those who might be be forgotten? “The ministry to those in the nursing home is so vital. Blue Mountain College's Beloved Buddy

Do you recall the Jack Russell Terrier who used to run around Blue Mountain campus spreading joy to students and faculty? Buddy passed away this semester, but the memories of him continue to live. He passed on August 29th, 2016 in what is to be believed as a tragic car fatality. Taylor Bain, granddaughter of Dr. Bain and close relation to Buddy, presumes that a car struck the terrier at the intersection in front of Dr. Bain’s house. Taylor’s father found Buddy on the curb bes

Students Attend First Annual Sadie's Banquet

Valentine's Day can be a romantic occasion, but it can also be a bit of a letdown. Those without partners sometimes feel left out, and even those who do have significant others may find the whole affair disappointing. Be that as it may, many students at Blue Mountain this year were anything but disappointed with the Sadie Hawkins banquet. Both cute couples and single stags were welcome, and everyone involved seemed to have a great time. Steak and shrimp were served at the ban

Miners on the Moon: Commercializing the Moon

Private Company Granted Permission to Land on Moon It’s 2017, a new year ripe with new possibilities. For one American company, those possibilities extend beyond earth’s atmosphere and to another world. Moon Express Inc. is a private enterprise with the goal of utilizing the moon’s resources commercially. The company was founded in 2010 by Dr. Bob Richards (CEO), Naveen Jain, and Dr. Barney Pell and received approval in August of 2016 to land a robotic craft on the moon in 2
