Is It Spring Break Yet?

BMC Students Are Counting Down the Days Until Spring Break

Blue Mountain College students are springing into Spring Break! From serving people near and far to simply having fun, the students of BMC have many different things planned for the upcoming Spring Break. Students will be doing multiple things from going to New York City on a mission trip with the Baptist Student Union, helping at children’s camps, and of course, resting and spending time with their friends and families back home after this long Spring semester.

Many students from campus will be going on a mission trip to New York City during the week of Spring Break. One of the college’s students is Pierce Lehman. In New York, the group of students will be participating in many different ministry opportunities. The students will be able to do activities such as minister to refugees all over the five boroughs of New York City. Lehman states, “I am very excited to be able to minister to the people of New York City, show them the love of Christ, and spread the Gospel to them.”

A couple of Blue Mountain College’s students, Brie Schmidt and Jake Heffner, will be helping with a day camp at First Baptist Church in Morris, MS. “I am really excited to be able to minister to these children and show them the love that God has shown me”, says Schmidt. The students will be assisting at the day camp by leading small groups with the children, helping with worship, putting on skits, and playing games. During Spring Break. Schmidt and Heffner hope to help these children open up their hearts to the Lord.

The majority of students will be visiting their families and resting more than anything else. Leah Johnson says, “I am very excited to be able to go home and visit with my family. I have not been able to see them in almost nine weeks”. Sam Marino, Justin Dozier, and Sarah Ward will also be at home resting, as will many other students who go to school here at Blue Mountain College.

Be it relaxing, thrilling, or both, the holiday will give Blue Mountain Students a much-needed break.
