Endure Until the End

Welcome Back!! I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful break, but it's time to crack open those books and get back into the routine. The way to finish strong is to start strong and that is how you should approach this semester.

I want to give you some encouragement to take with you during this semester. Hebrews 12:1 reads, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”.

Put an extra focus on this last part of the verse! There is a race that is set before us and it is personal for every one of us. We are called to run the race with “perseverance”. This is relatable to our schoolwork; we need to endure through the work, meeting the challenges expected of us.

When we set goals for ourselves, we want to get closer to that goal each day. The goal from Hebrews 12 is to run and let go of distractions. The inspiration and example are tied together. The fact we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses we should use that as inspiration to be better. We also need to be reminded of the example we are all called to set. The Gospel of Matthew shares with us that we all have a responsibility. The responsibility is to be the light of the world.

There are three things in these scriptures that will encourage you.

  1. In the life of a Christian we all have a goal.

  2. In the life of a Christian we all have an inspiration.

  3. In the life of a Christian we all have an example to set.

We all have a goal: that is to graduate and to be in our dream job. We all have something that inspires us and makes us work harder. We all have someone that looks up to us and that means there is an example that needs to be set.

I am encouraging you to endure and you will achieve your goals.
