Eventful Semester Ahead
The spring semester is off to a great start. The Toppers – varsity and junior varsity – have played multiple games, and the Office of Student Services has organized many exciting things for students to get involved in.
Dean Ritchey is planning to keep students busy and having fun this semester! As you can see from the list below, there will be at least one activity nearly every week, and he has mentioned that other events may be scheduled in the future, such as another movie night. The list of events that have been scheduled is provided below:
Men’s Intramural Ping Pong matches will begin on Monday, February 4, and go until Friday, February 22.
The next week, on Monday, February 11, there will be a Valentine’s game show called “Love and Dating” at 8:00pm in the SUB.
If you missed the first chance for free bowling in January, or if you love bowling and want to go again, you can do so on Wednesday, February 20. The setup will be the same as the first time: bowling at New Albany Lanes from 8:30-11:00pm and bring your own money for the half-off concessions. If you’re riding in the vans, they will leave the student union at 8:00, so be there early!
On Thursday, March 21, from 3:00-6:30pm, Escape Rooms will be set up on the Green!
Come out for some Laser Tag on the Green the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16. This event will be from 3:00-6:30pm as well.
The Easter Bunny will be stopping by Blue Mountain a few days before Easter. On Thursday, April 18, be sure to come out for a campus-wide Easter Egg Hunt.
And finally, the event that everyone is waiting for: the Spring Formal. The location is still to be decided, but the date is set, so mark your calendars for April 25!
And if you would like to see other events on the calendar, Dean Ritchey encourages students to stop by his office in the Administration building or to send him an email at pritchey@bmc.edu for suggestions!
