Being All-In for Jesus
BMCU's Newest Bible Study
BMCU staff member Dr. Shea Lowrey created a Bible study for students to have an on-campus bible study and called it “All In”. The inspiration for the name came from Dabo Sweeney, in which she expressed that she really wanted to emphasize being “all in” for God. The Bible study meets every Wednesday at 8:00 PM in the top of the SUB. Dr. Lowrey mentioned that the All-In bible study has started a council to help the planning of each meeting go smoothly. She asked senior Baleigh Bray to take on the role of president regarding the Bible study.
Baleigh informed us that All-In is a very interactive Bible study, and it focuses on building your relationship with God and following the path he has for you. All-In is also different because it is about being “All In” pertaining to a person’s relationship with God, as well as sharing your love for Him with others. All-In is about bringing people together and sharing their commitment to being all in for God with each other.
At the end of each meeting, both Baleigh and her friend, Allie, encourage students to bring a friend or more to the next Bible study meeting. They will also announce next week’s speaker in order to spark further interest pertaining to the upcoming Bible study. If you would be interested in speaking or sharing your testimony at All-In, please contact Baleigh Bray or Shea Lowrey. Their emails are at the end of this article.
All-In’s Bible study is also currently in the process of putting together its own council. While some positions have already been filled such as All-In representatives, other positions have been left vacant; there are a plethora of options for you if you seek to apply. The Bible study is particularly in need of some men who would be willing to help. All-In does not currently have a time of worship due to it being such a fresh and new Bible study, but it is openly seeking somebody who would be interested in leading a time for that as well.
If anyone is interested in those positions or potentially unmentioned opportunities, please let Baleigh Bray (Baleighbray@bmc.edu) or Dr.Shea Lowrey (Blowery@bmc.edu) know.
