We Believe in the New Chapel Theme
A new year means a whole new chapel theme. The theme is meant to guide us throughout the school year and even lead us in our own personal lives as well. Dr. Ronald Meeks introduced the new chapel theme to the student body on August 22nd, 2022. The new theme is called “We Believe” and is all about what the Bible says about the Christian beliefs, why we believe them, and how to use them. The Bible is the living word of God and offers many truths on how to live our lives. Dr. Me

Keeping Them Guessing
BMC’s new play, “Bless This Bread” by Craig Sodaro, starts with a small group of people gathered at church by Rev. Longacre for a potluck to discuss the issue of starting a building fund. The richest woman in town, Lillian Kegsley, stuns everyone by announcing that she is giving $1.5 million in jewelry so there will be no need for a drive. However, when she gets her purse back, she discovers the jewels have been stolen, which leads the Rev. to begin an investigation that invo

Searching for Nurses
As Blue Mountain is starting a new academic year, the BMC nursing program is starting its search for new students. This is the first time in its history that BMC has offered a nursing degree. According to Dean of Nursing Dr. Tammie McCoy, the new “program is a bachelor of science in nursing degree.” The new facility which houses the program is “state of the art” and has stations where nurses in training can practice interacting with patients who are at all stages of life and

What Is the Best Society for You?
Blue Mountain is known for its colorful campus life and plentiful social activities, with one of the most popular being the societies. These offer students a lifetime of friendships and many fun opportunities. For the ladies, there are three societies to choose from. These are the Eunomians, the Modenians, and the Euzelians. Many girls find it difficult to decide, and many can attest that there are stereotypes surrounding them. However, each one is unique in its own way and o

Ireland Adventure
This past summer, the Blue Mountain Chorale went on a tour in Ireland. Although this was not the first trip that the BMC Chorale had embarked on, it was a large trip for our BMC students. Dr. Greg Long, director of the choir and the group trip, says, “Now that we’ve sung at Carnegie Hall […], I want[ed] us to do something international.” Dr. Long says he did some searching, and Ireland was decided upon. He lists several reasons for choosing this as their destination, saying,

Missing Class is Not to Last
